EQUIPMENT
FOR THE HIGH COAST TRAIL CAMP

To have a great running experience, it’s good to have the right equipment with you. It’s wise to test everything you want to bring to ensure it fits and works well when we head out. It’s also beneficial if you’ve taken the equipment out at least once before.

PACKING LIST FOR AUTUMN RUNNING

Check the weather forecast and consider bringing extra clothing items packed in your cabin rather than bringing too few items. If the forecast predicts rain, it’s advisable to bring gear so you can start the next day dry, as there are no drying facilities on-site.

  • T-shirt / Base layer
  • Tights or pants
  • Running shoes
  • First aid kit and elastic bandage
  • Windproof jacket
  • Warm jacket for Saturday’s lunch in the National Park
  • Extra long-sleeve base layer
  • Hat and gloves
  • Container for at least 2 x 0.5 L of fluids
  • Whistle
  • Headlamp
  • Electrolyte replacement
  • Toilet paper
  • Running backpack for storage

BEDDING & TOWELS

If you’re staying in a cabin at FriluftsByn, there are blankets and pillows provided. You need to bring your own bedding – sheets, pillowcases, and duvet covers. Also, bring your own towel and personal hygiene items.

NO METAL SPIKES

To minimize impact on nature, metal spikes are not allowed.

MEDICAL CARE

In case of injury, your own first aid kit and elastic bandage will be used first to ensure all equipment is sufficient.

WHAT SHOES SHOULD I CHOOSE?

Of course, this is largely a matter of personal preference, but we would highly recommend a pair from Icebug. With Icebug shoes, you’ll have maximum grip, which is especially important when venturing out in the High Coast.

OUTRUN

Comfortable trail running at all levels.
A trail shoe focused on high comfort. The Outrun is a stable shoe with good support for those looking to log many miles.

CAPRA

Trail running and skyrunning.
A shoe for trail running, designed for runners who want responsive shoes that are comfortable during long training sessions and longer races in technical terrain.

ACCELERITAS

Trail running, orienteering, swimrun.
A minimalist running shoe with maximum feel. As lightweight as possible with excellent grip.

BORROW SHOES!

During the High Coast Trail Camp, you can borrow shoes from Icebug. It’s a great way to test which shoe suits you best.

SUPER PRICES!

During the High Coast Trail Camp, Icebug offers a clearance sale on sample shoes with a full 50% discount.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

With the right clothing, your experience will be so much better. It might sound cliché, but it’s true. We would really like to promote the Haglöfs L.I.M. series. Here you’ll find clothes that are simple without unnecessary details and features – just lightweight, minimalist, and packable designs with 100% functionality.

One tip is to check out the Haglöfs L.I.M series. It’s a line with high functionality, lightweight, and takes up little space in your pack. We’re meeting with Per from Haglöfs to learn more. Check it out.

CROWN TEE

The first layer in polyester with a surface treatment that enhances comfort. ’Flatlock seams’ reduce the risk of chafing, and panels under the arms provide greater freedom of movement. This one is perfect for the trail!

L.I.M BREATHE GTX SHAKEDRY

Long name, but this is also the optimal jacket for changing weather. Super lightweight, extremely breathable, 100% waterproof, and packs down to minimal size. You get the idea.

TIGHTS OR SHORTS

The L.I.M Comp Tight is perfect for a variety of adventures, and the L.I.M Fuse Shorts are extremely lightweight and streamlined. Try out what suits you best.

Haglöfs will be present at the High Coast Trail Camp with the following offers:

  • All participants who register for the camp will receive a discount code for Haglöfs equipment.
  • Opportunity to borrow clothing from the L.I.M. series during the camp.
