PARTICIPANT PM
3PEAKS 16k

Here’s everything you need to know before the 3Peaks 16k. It’s also wise to join the participant group on Facebook, where we not only continuously share tips and thoughts before the race but also plan carpooling and more.

We open up as early as Thursday evening, where we cozy up in the Living Room and open up check-in for those who want to avoid queues on Friday. You can, of course, also check in on Friday. On Friday, we will also have a course briefing and share some tips at 3:00 PM.

WHAT HAPPENS DURING 3PEAKS 16k

START

After you have taken the bus to the starting area (you cannot use your own car or get a ride), you can start from 13:00. After that, you set out on the course when you are ready, but no later than 14:00.

TOILETS

Toilets are available at the starting point in FriluftsByn, and you will also pass through FriluftsByn after ascending Herrestaberget, so there is another opportunity. There are also toilets at the top of Skuleberget.

TRASH

Whatever you bring into nature, you bring back with you. Trash cans are available in FriluftsByn. A significant part of the opportunity to organize a race through the highlights of the World Heritage Site is the requirement that no one leaves trash behind in nature.

MEDICAL CARE

Medical personnel will be available on-site during the races. In case of injury, they will first use items from your mandatory equipment. Make sure to bring that equipment! You will receive a number for the secretariat when you check in.

QUITTING THE RACE

You can only drop out of the race at the E4 checkpoint. Transportation to the finish line will be provided when available. In the meantime, stay warm with mandatory equipment.

ENERGY & WATER

Höga Kusten Trail 3Peaks has an energy station after approximately 10 km. You can read more about this in the course description.

CUT-LINES

At 19:00, we close the course at the Energy Station (10k). We do this for your safety and the safety of the event. All participants arriving after the cut-lines need to discontinue the race and will be transported to FriluftsByn.

FINISH LINE / AUDIENCE

The finish line is in FriluftsByn. It usually becomes a great atmosphere as both Coast to Summits 26k and 3Peaks 15k cross the finish line together.

AFTER-TRAIL >>

We’ll have an after-trail event both on Friday and Saturday. Friday will be a cozy gathering by the campfires with a troubadour, and Saturday will be full-on with a live band.

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER 3PEAKS 16k

FINISH LINE

The finish line is located in FriluftsByn, right next to the after-trail area where more and more participants gather.

SHOWER AND SWIM

There are shower facilities available in FriluftsByn (10 SEK). Additionally, you can enjoy a refreshing swim in Lake Gällsta located directly at FriluftsByn.

AFTER-TRAIL >>

A big part of the experience is the hangout after the race. Swing by Innergården and Vardagsrummet. Open to both participants and the audience.

AWARD CEREMONY

At 21:00 during the After-Trail in FriluftsByn, prizes will be awarded to the top 3 in the men’s and women’s classes.
