High Coast Trail Camp Spring
TRAVEL, STAY, FOOD & HANGOUT
The High Coast Trail Camp is a weekend where you’ll experience some of the absolute highlights of the High Coast World Heritage Site. We socialize, eat, and hang out together, but when we venture out, we divide into three groups – running, jogging, and fast-paced walking. This is a truly delightful experience – camaraderie, exercise, and beautiful nature.

TRAVEL
The High Coast is closer than many think. The easiest way to get there is by car, but you can also take the train + bus or carpool with another participant. Carpooling is coordinated within our participant group.

STAY
FriluftsByn is the base and here you have several accommodation options – ranging from tents to private cabins or shared accommodation. Of course, you can also stay at home, with friends, or elsewhere.

FOOD & DRINK
We have breakfast and dinner at FriluftsByn’s courtyard or in Restaurant Vardagsrummet. Lunch is served in the National Park and in the Top Cabin. All meals are included. You can purchase drinks separately.

HANGOUT
Recovery is equally important. You naturally choose when to socialize with others and when to retreat to your cabin and just chill.

TRAVEL TO HIGH COAST TRAIL CAMP
The High Coast is closer than many think. And even though there is currently inflation in terms of phrases like ’in the middle of the High Coast’ or ’in the heart of the High Coast,’ this is where FriluftsByn is located. Right by the hiking trails, boat trips, and attractions.
Car to the Trail Camp
High Coast, Mount Skuleberget, and FriluftsByn are closer than many think. To get an estimate of how long it takes from your location, type ’FriluftsByn’ into Google Maps.
If you plan to drive to the High Coast Trail Camp and have extra space in your car – or are willing to carpool with someone in exchange for sharing fuel costs – please post in the participant group ’High Coast Trail Runners’ to find company.

Bus to the Trail Camp
Bus is definitely an option, and Y-buss operates buses from Stockholm and Arlanda as well as along the entire Norrland coast from Umeå and southward.
To reach FriluftsByn, book a ticket to the Docksta stop.
When you arrive, it’s just about a two-kilometer walk to FriluftsByn and the start of the High Coast Trail.
If you want to be there right from the start of the weekend, there’s a bus on Thursday morning. Of course, you can also take the morning bus on Friday and join the Trail Camp on Friday afternoon.
Thursday:
Stockholm 08:30 – Docksta 15:48
Sunday:
Docksta 14:05 – Stockholm 21:40

Train to the Trail Camp
Train is usually a great option, and you can take the train to Örnsköldsvik Travel center or Kramfors Station, then either Länsbussarna ”Din Tur” to Skuleberget or Y-Bussarna to Docksta. However, it appears that there is track maintenance scheduled for this particular weekend, which means that morning trains seem to be canceled. This makes it tricky with trains for this Trail Camp.
Tourist Service: If you need help finding how to take the bus between Resecentrum and Skuleberget according to your train schedule, you can call High Coast Turist center at +46(0)771-26 50 00
